New 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Minivan Gets Strong Reviews at Detroit Auto Show

The iconic Town & Country minivan model was retired last year after years of solid family-moving service. Taking its place in the Chrysler lineup for 2017 is the all new Pacifica, which may soon become iconic on its own. Car research and review site Edmunds.com did a walk-around of the Pacifica at the Detroit Auto Show, and the early reviews are very positive.

Chrysler has completely refreshed is minivan concept with the new Pacifica. Svelte new lines and contouring create a modern silhouette while the handsome interior cabin has the look and feel of a much more expensive vehicle.

The new Pacific is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that provides 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Estimated fuel economy is 22 mpg.

All of the latest features are available in the Pacifica, which has five different trim levels, each offering high levels of luxury - and entertainment. The Touring-L Plus includes the UConnect rear entertainment system, with two 10-inch touchscreens, mounted behind the front seats and a Blu-ray player on board.
