As of late, the RAM Power Wagon has been getting no shortage of love. That's because on top of its winning looks, it also sports some of the best capability in its segment. This attention to utility has long since been a hallmark of the pickup, going back to its inception in 1946.
The Power Wagon was created at the behest of World War II veterans who wanted a military-grade truck for civilian use. So, Dodge (who produced it at the time) took a military chassis, a flathead six-cylinder mill sporting 61 horsepower and a buttload of torque, and crafted the Power Wagon. It remained in production as-is until 1971.
